TUXEDO Stellaris 16 Gen7 Linux Laptop Unveiled with 128 GB RAM, HDR Display

TUXEDO Computers unveiled today the 7th generation (Gen7) of their TUXEDO Stellaris 16 Linux laptop, designed for those who are in the market for a gaming notebook with maximum power.

The biggest selling point of the TUXEDO Stellaris 16 Gen7 laptop is its 1000 nits HDR (High Dynamic Range) mini-LED matte display with 2560×1600 resolution, 100% sRGB, 16:10 aspect ratio, and extremely fast 300 Hz refresh rates. The new display is paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 24GB GDDR7 graphics card.

Under the hood, the 7th-gen TUXEDO Stellaris 16 Linux notebook is powered by the desktop-based Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with 24 cores (8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores) and a 5.4 GHz clock speed, up to 128 GB DDR5-5600 RAM, and ultra-high-speed NVMe PCIe 5.0 SSD storage.

Connectivity-wise, the notebook features a Thunderbolt 4 port, a USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port, an HDMI 2.1 port with HDCP 2.3, a Mini DisplayPort port, three USB-A ports, Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 802.11ax wireless supporting 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz bands, Bluetooth 5.3, an RJ45 LAN (2,5 Gbit) Ethernet port, an SD card reader, and a 2-in-1 audio jack.

TUXEDO Stellaris 16 Gen7 also features Kensington Lock, a liquid cooling connector for TUXEDO Aquaris, high definition audio with 2x 2W speakers, an integrated microphone, a Full HD (1080p) webcam, a multicolor (RGB) per-key backlight keyboard, a TUX super-key, a glass precision clickpad, a 99 Wh battery, and TPM 2.0.

As with all of TUXEDO Computers’ laptops, the 7th-gen TUXEDO Stellaris 16 comes pre-installed with the company’s in-house, Ubuntu-based TUXEDO OS featuring the KDE Plasma desktop environment, or with the long-term supported Ubuntu 24.04 LTS (Noble Numbat) operating system.

The Stellaris 16 Gen7 is available to pre-order this Friday from TUXEDO Computers’ online store from 2.479,00 EUR (or $2.350 for US customers) for the base configuration with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX CPU, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 16 GB DDR5 RAM, and a 500 GB Samsung 980 SSD. Shipping starts at the end of June 2025.
