Ubuntu 20.04 LTS “Focal Fossa” Artwork for Your Phone by Sylvia Ritter, Made with Krita

Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

Talented concept artist Sylvia Ritter unveiled today new artwork inspired by Canonical’s upcoming Ubuntu 20.04 LTS “Focal Fossa” operating system, due for release in April 2020.

Sylvia Ritter is known for her astonishing artwork made for each of the 30 releases of the Ubuntu operating system, and now the artist has published new artwork for the upcoming Ubuntu 20.04 LTS release, dubbed Focal Fossa, which you can download from DeviantArt.

It’s only a single image, which is perfect for use as a wallpaper on your mobile phone, and you don’t even have to be an Ubuntu fan because the ‘Focal Fossa” inspired artwork is nothing but marvelous. I love it!

Best of all, it’s made entirely with the open source and free Krita digital painting software, which works on any GNU/Linux distribution, as well as on macOS and Windows operating systems.

As for Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa), I bet it will be an awesome release since its a long term supported version, which Canonical will support for at least 5 or 10 years. The final release is expected to hit the streets on April 23rd, 2020, while the beta version will be available for testing starting April 2nd.

Sylvia Ritter’s “Focal Fossa” artwork won’t be included in Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, but that doesn’t stop anyone from using it on their smartphones, either to promote the upcoming Ubuntu release or just for fun.

You can check out Sylvia Ritter’s artwork on DeviantArt, where you’ll be able to browser and download all the Ubuntu inspired wallpapers, as well as numerous other amazing illustrations.
